Ravenna is an important city in Italy both in an artistic and a historical way. The Riviera by Ravenna stretches over 34 kilometers along the blue Adria and the green pine groves.
Ravenna is on the Unesco World Cultural Inheritance List . One of the most beautiful mosaic pictures of Christianity can to be seen here. The city is also famous for events such as music festivals, and it offers a great variety of activities to do in your free time. Ravenna has approx. 90 000 inhabitants. Around the Piazza del Popolo and in the surrounding streets, life in the bars, cafes and shops just pulsates, but you would never say it was hectic. The size of the city makes it ideal to discover by foot, or with a bicycle ... perhaps a visit to a museum or a local tour in the evening.
