Cork, situated in the south of Ireland, has approx. 130 000 inhabitants, and is Irelands second biggest city. The banking industry, and the economy generally is flourishing.
This city, built on an island between the main canals of the river Lee, is known for its bridges, quays, Georgian houses, towers, pedestrian zones, as well as for its modern businesses and shopping centers. The city has a rich cultural side, with annual films, dance and music festivals. There are also many restaurants, pubs and discos.
The locals are known to be very friendly, talkative and to have a good sense of humor; according to the moto 'there are no strangers, just friends that you haven't met yet'.
