The south west of England is famous for its mild climate, and the region around Torbay, is known as the English Riviera. It consists of 3 cities with approx. 132 000 inhabitants. Torquay is the biggest of these three cities, has approx. 63 000 inhabitants and enjoys the warmest climate throughout England. With over 30 km of coastline, 18 beaches and a very charming landscape, the English Riviera is very attractive for English and international tourists. In summer it is very busy, whilst in winter the city belongs to the locals. This very attractive region of England is becoming more and more popular with language students.
