Brisbane is one of the main cities of Queensland, also known as the «Sunshine State» of Australia, a paradise for surfers and nature lovers. There are many natural attractions such as the Great Barrier Reef, tropical forests and spectacular coastal areas. Lots of sunshine, palm trees swaying in the breeze, and elegant colonial buildings are typical of some of the sights and impressions you will get in Queensland. Brisbane is a modern and lively city with approx. 1.5 million inhabitants. There are many restaurants, elegant shops, night clubs, discos, theatres and exhibitions to see and visit. Brisbane is situated on the bend of a river with the same name, and is not on the coast. This tropical stretch is great for weekend trips. The Gold Coast is an hour away from Brisbane, and there you can find many more wide sandy beaches and amusement parks.
